Public campaign data and access

We process organizer and participant information, campaign rules, documents, submissions and reward calculations to provide campaign management. Organizers and authorized workspace members can access participant data according to their roles. Making a campaign public discloses its title, description, rules, cover and attached documents, including any personal data they contain, to visitors without authentication. PDF files are stored privately in Vercel Blob but are served through clipledger to visitors when attached to a public campaign. Participant profiles and submissions are not made public merely because the campaign is public. Organizers must have a lawful basis for publishing personal data. Downloaded copies held by third parties cannot be recalled by changing visibility or deleting the campaign.

We may collect the following information when you use the Service:

Account information

• name or display name
• email address
• authentication provider (e.g., Google)
• profile picture (avatar) uploaded by the user

Campaign data

• video links submitted to campaigns
• campaign configuration data
• payout calculation data

Video data

• video identifiers and public metadata (such as view counts) of videos belonging to the authenticated user when their TikTok account is connected

Usage data

basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information.

We use collected data to:

• provide and operate the clipledger service
• track campaign submissions and video performance (including view counts)
• verify that submitted videos belong to the connected creator account
• calculate estimated and final creator payouts
• maintain account security
• communicate with users regarding the Service.

4. Third-Party Services

clipledger may interact with third-party services including:

• Google (authentication)
• YouTube (public video statistics)
• TikTok (basic profile information and access to the authenticated user’s own video data, such as video identifiers and view counts, when users connect their accounts)
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) (authentication and access to Instagram Business data such as account information and media insights when users connect their accounts)
• Vercel (application hosting and infrastructure, including storage and delivery of avatars and campaign covers through Vercel Blob)

These services may process certain information according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Storage

We use third-party infrastructure providers for database hosting and data processing. User-uploaded avatars and campaign covers are stored in a public Vercel Blob store in Frankfurt, Germany (fra1, EU), and delivered through Vercel’s global CDN. Anyone with an image URL can access the image without signing in, even when it is not displayed on a campaign page. Uploading, replacing and deleting images require authorization in clipledger. Public images may remain in browser or CDN caches for a limited time after replacement or deletion.

We retain data for as long as your account remains active or as required for legitimate business purposes.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We may share data only:

• with organizers and authorized workspace members, and with unauthenticated visitors for the public campaign content described above
• when required by law
• with infrastructure providers necessary to operate the Service (e.g., hosting).

7. Your Rights

We believe users should have clear control over their personal data. All clipledger users have the following rights regarding their personal information:

• access your personal data
• request correction of inaccurate data
• request deletion of your data
• request restriction of processing.
